Mumbai, The City of Onlookers?

A few days ago, Reuben Fernandes and Keenan Santos were assaulted and killed  for standing up to an eve-teasing episode earlier the same evening. The two teenagers  were attacked by a mob in full public view in Amboli, a suburb of Mumbai.

The City of Onlookers
"They died of multiple stab injuries. A crowd of people watched, but nobody helped." reports NDTV. People are shocked. Mumbai is being called "The City of Onlookers."

Since a fortnight, public outrage and protests are growing. Across the country, people are raising their voices online.  Activists are demanding better police response and stringent legal remedies that will deter eve-teasers and prevent a recurrence of such horrific crimes.
